Ms. Martinez's Planet Project
You are on a Space Quest for your class mates. You will have a 2 week time limit. Some time will be given in class to complete the assignment. But some time will be required at home. You will need a flash drive to save your information. Your job is to first create a project on a planet decided upon with your teacher. Should you decide to accept this challenge, your mission will be to do the following things: 1. Design a power point presentation using this template created by your teacher. You should include all of the information requested in this power point. If you do not have a computer at home, you will be required to complete the same information in the form of a booklet. This booklet should be the size of regular typing paper or loose leaf paper. All work should be neatly presented. That includes handwriting and pictures. You may also create a visual such as a poster to go along with your booklet. Slide 1: The basics - your name, your planet's name, a picture of your planet. You may choose to use your picture as a background for this slide. Please be sure to use the royalty free sites provided by your teacher. Slide 2: Include this information- Days needed to complete the orbit; distance from the sun; length of the planet's day; a picture Slide 3: Tell about the planet's temperature, surface, and moons. Include a picture. Slide 4: Does your planet have an atmosphere, rings, or volcanoes on it? Include a picture. Slide 5: Research information about your planet using the sites provided below. Write some interesting facts in your own words. Slide 6: Paste some Incredible Planet Pictures that you have found but didnt have room for on your other slides. Slide 7: My Website Resources- List all of your resources for each slide on the space. Go to www.bitly.com to shorten your website link for this slide. 2. Design a game about your planet or using your study guide. Go to this site: Class Tools. You may only complete this activity if you have finished your power point and it has been approved by your teacher. 3. Save all of your images as pngs and import them into a PhotoStory movie. You should already have this program downloaded to your laptop. |
